Officers graduates NY academy, commended for community service.

Officers Elijah Griffin and Dimetrius Miranda from the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office in Ithaca, NY graduated from the New York State Basic Corrections Academy. The academy was hosted by the Broome County Sheriff's Office. During the program, the officers studied various topics including suicide prevention, ethics of law enforcement, CPR & AED, defensive tactics, firearms training, and effective communication. The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office congratulated and commended both officers for their dedication to serving the office and the community.
