Spider webs signal air leakage in homes; Ohio improves weatherization.

Reviewed by Madi Wagner / cbuslocal.org

The Ohio Department of Development has shared that spider webs can indicate air leakage in homes. Chief Patrick Smith led a team to the central Ohio Weatherization Training Center to see how COAD collaborates with Ohio's community Action agencies to improve home health in the area. COAD and LEADS community Action representatives hosted the visit, allowing tours of the center's prop house where weatherization training takes place. Training topics range from HVAC inspections to energy efficiency testing. COAD trained over 800 students in Weatherization this year, with 24% of them studying at the central Ohio hub in Newark.
