Dr. Beyrer Discusses Global Health at Forum
Tonight at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY, epidemiologist Dr. Chris Beyrer (’81, Sc.D. ’22) will join the President’s Forum to discuss topics including public health, human rights, and global impact. Dr. Beyrer has led HIV/AIDS research across four continents and has been involved in U.S. COVID-19 vaccine trials since 2020. Over his career, he has published more than 400 scientific papers and eight books. In addition, he has advised organizations such as the WHO, NIH, and PEPFAR and has testified before Congress. Before becoming a physician, he studied history at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and later Buddhism. The event is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. in the Vandervort Room of the Scandling Campus Center.
