Cornell University in Ithaca announced that on Friday, May 26, 26 graduating brigade cadets and midshipmen were commissioned as officers. Among these new officers were 20 members of the Cornell 2025 class and cadets from other local institutions. They will be serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Space Force. The commissioning takes place on Memorial Day and is part of Cornell’s long military tradition dating back to its founding in 1865.
