Library Card Sign-Up Month Sees Record Participation!

Wake County Public Libraries has wrapped up National Library Card Sign-Up Month with positive results. In September, the library introduced redesigned cards and experienced a notable increase in interest.

During the first two weeks of September, Wake County issued 2,050 new in-person library cards and 864 digital cards. This represents a 16% increase in new cardholders compared to the same period last year.

New cardholders have checked out 7,148 printed items during the month.

For those interested in obtaining their first library card or upgrading to the new version, they can visit their local library or go to wake.gov/Libraries.
