On January 8, 2026, deputies arrested Darsheilia D. Stroud, 36, of Syracuse, NY, on a warrant charging her with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. The arrest followed an investigation related to an incident on June 2, 2025, at approximately 9:15 AM at a Lowe’s store on Grant Ave in Auburn.

According to the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a larceny complaint when officers reported that Stroud had entered Lowe’s, taken several items, and left without paying. The Crime Analysis Center assisted in positively identifying Stroud.

After being processed at the PSB, she was turned over to the Onondaga Justice Center for CAP Arraignment and was released on her own recognizance. Stroud is scheduled to appear in the Sennett Town Court on February 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
