Dove Block Project hosts sign-making workshop for Middle Finger 5K
Geneva, N.Y. — The Dove Block Project is hosting a Sign-Making Workshop for the Middle Finger 5K to support Thrive to Survive, an organization that helps adults in cancer treatment.
The workshop is a drop-in event Sunday, April 26, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Dove Block Project. Volunteers are invited to create signs to line the race route with messages of encouragement, strength, humor and hope.
Officials say every sign will be seen by someone walking, running or pushing through a difficult moment, and the artwork and words can offer a moment of connection that is uplifting and human.
All supplies will be available, and participants of all ages are encouraged to help. If you cannot attend the workshop, you can pick up a sign and return it decorated by May 6.
More information is available at thrivetosurvive.org/events.
