**24-Year Partnership Transforms Health Care in Tanzania**

A long-standing collaboration between Weill Cornell Medicine and Weill Bugando School of Medicine has significantly impacted medical education and health care in Tanzania. Since the partnership began 24 years ago, Weill Bugando has successfully graduated more than 2,220 medical doctors. This collaboration started in 2003 and has been instrumental in shaping the medical landscape in the region.

In addition to producing skilled professionals, the partnership has focused on improving the quality of medical education for students, enhancing health care delivery in Tanzania, and sharing strategies that may also be applicable in the United States. The alliance has further facilitated research on global health challenges, emphasizing diseases that affect populations worldwide.
